The contest will be open from the 7th January to the 8th March 2008.

In previous years this contest has paved the way for fruitful collaborations with talented new artists, so don't hold back - be creative and surprise us!

Prize money is 4500 euros split between the 5 winning entries.

About the Salomon Snowboards Artwork Contest

Is back again

Every product we design at Salomon Snowboards follows our "Design for a Better Ride" philosophy, fine-tuned to perfection to exceed the highest demands of every individual rider.

Accordingly, the graphical approach needs to meet the same lofty standards in order for every board in our range to look as good as our technical know-how will have them ride.

The diversity of riding styles and riding levels leads us to offer a wide variety of snowboards and our graphics must also embrace the great diversity of riders sharing our passion for snowboarding.
We’re always on the lookout for a wide variety of inspirations and styles and this is why the Artwork Contest is an important piece of our graphic development puzzle.

We want you to share with us as many ideas as you have inspiration for so there are no limits in submissions. We’re looking forward to being impressed, shocked, blown away and amazed by your stuff so don’t wait – submit now!

The jury finally elected the top five winners!

After hours of discussions, the jury finally elected the top five winners.
They will be personally contacted next Monday.

The full ranking of winning graphics will be displayed online in June.

Dear all,

Thanks alot for your time and creativity, it's always a pleasure for us to peruse the hundreds of submitted graphics.

Just to keep you up to date on proceedings, here's what's going to happen from now on :

  • We will check all submissions and select the best 100.
  • Our jury comittee will then choose and reward the top ranking winner, by selecting the most original and snowboard-relevant graphic (by this we mean graphics with a strong snowboard-related cultural resonance).
  • We will also pick a bunch of nominees that we want to highlight for various reasons.
  • Winners and Nominees will be personally contacted around April 1st, then officially announced on the website on June 1st.
  • As times goes by, we will contact some of the winners and nominees to work on further collaborations, with the aim of turning those graphics into real snowboards.
